I’ve had a photo of this wolf set aside for years. I think it was a picture from the Oregon zoo, but it’s been so long, I don’t remember for sure.
This is another miniature in Cernit.
I like how it came out, but I think the real strength of the translucent white is with smoother sculptures like the frog.
I think the wolf would have looked better all white at a larger scale.
It’s only 2.5″ high and I thought it needed a bit more contrast, so I did use some acrylic paint to add a touch of depth to the trees and fur.
What do you think? Should I have left it alone?
I’m thinking of molding this one and doing a couple variations, so it’s not too late to give me your opinion. 🙂
