Working in a series is often faster, at least when it comes to something like these dragon’s eye pendants.
Each one is sculpted individually with lots of hand formed scales, but I made them all within a span of two days. It was faster to do all of the eye decoration, then all of the sculpting, all of the color etc, then to do one at a time from end to end.
That and I enjoy making variations in shape and color and it gives me a chance to play. 🙂
I found out a grant went through and these are class samples for a workshop I’ll be teaching at a school in April. I think we’re going to have a lot of fun.
There’s a possibility I’ll be teaching them earlier as well to my clay guild, but I haven’t heard yet.
