30 Days #24-29. Dragons’ Eyes

Working in a series is often faster, at least when it comes to something like these dragon’s eye pendants.

Each one is sculpted individually with lots of hand formed scales, but I made them all within a span of two days. It was faster to do all of the eye decoration, then all of the sculpting, all of the color etc, then to do one at a time from end to end.

That and I enjoy making variations in shape and color and it gives me a chance to play. 🙂

I found out a grant went through and these are class samples for a workshop I’ll be teaching at a school in April. I think we’re going to have a lot of fun.

There’s a possibility I’ll be teaching them earlier as well to my clay guild, but I haven’t heard yet.
