Abstract – InSight
This was one of the pieces I created as show entries recently. I had alot of fun with the idea and have a few other variations in mind that I may try at some point. I used some of the forming techniques I learned in Dan Cormier’s workshop for the outer rows of leaves. The innner leaves were baked on a decorative lightbulb.
The center eye is acrylic and was glued in place after baking. I think I may turn this into a wall piece since it looks best when you look into it and I don’t have any low tables that I want to display it on.

Christie, that piece is wonderful! I love the unexpected surprise of the eye.
(btw, the picture showed up on Google Reader, but when I came here to your blog, no pictures)
Thanks, Libby
Glad you liked it. I’ll look into why the picture isn’t showing up for you – thanks for letting me know.
